Invest in the Future of Behavioral Health Leadership

For over half a century, the Minority Fellowship Program at the American Nurses Association (MFP/ANA) has been a lifeline for aspiring behavioral health nurses from underrepresented racial and ethnic communities. Nearly 1,000 Fellows have emerged as clinical experts, researchers, educators, and policy advocates — each one committed to healing communities and transforming systems.

But the journey is far from over.

The demand for behavioral health services is rising. At the same time, the behavioral health workforce remains critically understaffed and lacking in cultural and linguistic diversity. The need for highly trained, culturally competent mental health nurses has never been more urgent.
