FY 2026-2027 applications are now open.

The American Nurses Association’s Minority Fellowship Program (ANA MFP) Master’s Fellowship supports registered nurses enrolled full-time in accredited master’s programs in psychiatric mental health and/or substance misuse care. The fellowship provides financial support, mentorship, and leadership development to strengthen preparation for careers in behavioral health.

Fellows participate in a structured program that includes mentorship from experienced nurse leaders, professional development activities, and the Summer Intensive Training Institute (ITI). The program equips nurses with the skills needed to deliver and lead behavioral health care across the lifespan, particularly in communities with significant unmet needs.

The ANA MFP is supported by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
