“What happens when you become an MFP Fellow?
You have your finger on the pulse of the community. You are able now to discern, decipher, where we are being marginalized. You now have a skill set because you are paired with a mentor who can guide you through the process. Whereas when we came along without MFP, you didn’t have that. You were alone… [The MFP] opened that door for us to know that there was help out there, there was support for us - not only to become better educated, but also to be influencers.”
- Dr Linda Washington-Brown
