Tamanna Rahman, MSN, RN, graduated from MFP-Youth in 2016 and is among the inaugural cohort. She completed a Master of Science in Nursing- Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Yale University. She works as a clinical nurse in children’s psychiatric emergency services at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Prior to becoming a nurse, she provided recovery-oriented, psychiatric rehabilitation services to adults with severe mental illness at a public health agency.
Tamanna is deeply committed to social and economic justice struggles, and connects her work in healthcare to her long-term work as a community and labor organizer. She is the Executive Director and Founder of the Progressive Mental Health organization which focuses on social justice issues in mental health.
