Patricia K. Bradley PhD, RN, FAAN, is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean of Inclusive Excellence, at the Fitzpatrick College of Nursing (FCN) at Villanova University. As a leading expert in psychiatric mental health nursing, her psychiatric nursing education presentations and curriculum consultations have been national and international including in Muscat, Oman at the Omani Institute of Technology.
An alum of the SAMHSA Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) at the American Nurses Association, Dr. Bradley has a particular expertise in the psycho-social aspects of breast cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship among African American women. Dr. Pat, as the community calls her, has developed training programs and materials focusing on the needs of the African American community using a psychosocial-spiritual approach. Her current work focuses on diversity, equity and inclusion, fostering cultural humility in students and healthcare providers, and eliminating health inequities. She continues to work with current fellows as a mentor and with program graduates through the Minority Fellowship Graduate Association (MFGA).
Dr. Bradley is a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing and serves as Chair of the Academy’s Cultural Competence & Health Equity Expert Panel and a mentor for their National Policy Mentoring Council (NPMC) for the Jonas Policy Scholars Program. She is also a member of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Group, has served on the writing group focused on Institutional Viability and Capacity for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Faculty Tool Kit and a participant in their Diversity Leadership Institute.
