If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way

Its been clear for a while that the American workforce is not all right. Although several uses of artificial intelligence in mental health are showing some success, experts say the jury is still out on its capabilities for wider use. Therapists are using AI to examine large amounts of patient data, including family histories, patient behaviors and response to treatments to help diagnose and identify treatments, as well as select what therapists can best connect with individual patients, according to an article by Switzerland-based World Economic Forum. MFP/ANA ANNOUNCEMENTS & UPCOMING EVENTS
Please join us on Wednesday, Feb. 28, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm for our 2024 Black History Month celebration, Power of Black Nurses’ Voices III. All are invited to hear from a panel of Black Nurses who will share how they have used their voices in mentoring self and others during their journey in the nursing profession. A Question and Answer period will follow the panel conversation.
MFP/ANA Alumna Dr. Udaya Thomas's (AKA Doctor Sunday) book is available on Amazon. Dr. Thomas writes: "If there are any faculty interested in adding it to their course list, I would be happy to talk to them."
Amazon verified review: This is an excellent resource for non medical folks to understand health as a way of living with a holistic approach. It is an easy read loaded with helpful analogies from the auto world and does not burden you with confusing terms or complex processes. Some of the practises and health care personnel are specific to the USA but the essence of the concepts are applicable globally. I think someday there will be translations into other languages that make this more accepted internationally.
In the mid-80s, at the age of 26, Austin Nation was sure his life was over. Amid the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, Nation, a gay man, discovered that he was HIV positive and believed he was destined to be among the more than 46,000 people who died from AIDS from 1981 to 1988, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
We are midway through Black History Month, dedicated this year to celebrating African Americans in the Arts. Our podcast highlight this week is Dr. Austin Nation's Mental Health Trailblazers season 3 episode (please see article above for more on Dr. Nation's creative journey). Kudo's to Dr.Nation and all the renaissance nurses in the MFP/ANA family.
