Rosita Rodriguez, DNP, RN, PMHNP-BC, AGPCNP-BC, FNP-BC, WHNP-BC, APHN-BC, CDCES, CNE, RYT, is a PhD student in nursing education at Liberty University School of Nursing. Her dissertation explores strategies to enhance mental health nursing education amongst students across a vast cultural landscape.

Rodriguez holds multiple advanced practice certifications spanning psychiatric, adult-gerontology, family, women’s health, and nursing education, as well as holistic nursing and yoga instruction. Her nursing experience includes active practice as a bilingual clinician (English/Spanish) and teaching in higher education. She serves as an Associate Professor at Montclair State University School of Nursing, teaching undergraduate and graduate mental health nursing courses.

Clinically, Rodriguez provides psychiatric care via telehealth in a private group practice and serves as a consultant at a Partial Hospitalization Program. Rodriguez effectively integrates trauma-informed, evidence-based practices, compassion, and culturally responsive approaches in her roles as a clinician and nurse educator. This multifaceted approach is reflected in the therapeutic relationships she builds with patients and the mentorship she offers to students.

Her long-term goals include expanding access to mental health resources through research, advocacy, leveraging technology to support care delivery, and mentoring the next generation of nurses.
