Trina Houge, MSN, RN-BC, graduated from MFP-Youth in 2016 and is among the inaugural cohort. During the Fellowship, she was enrolled in a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus. Ms. Houge obtained her BSN at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
She has worked at Porter Adventist Hospital, Denver, CO, in Geriatric Psychiatry and has current clinical rotation is with psychiatric adolescent residential care and runs advocacy projects centered on teen cannabis use.
She is the Eastern Colorado Council of Black Nurses Membership Chairperson and Election Chairperson. Ms. Houge is a member of the American Nurses Association, Colorado 16th district, National Black Nurses Association, Eastern Colorado Council of Black Nurses, and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
