Edward O. Oladipo, BSc, BSN, PMHRN-BC, is a second-year MSN-Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) student at Walden University. He has always been interested in providing care to mental health clients across the lifespan and plans to focus on research providing him with the expertise to help provide a solution to mental health illnesses, bridge the access gap, and help influence government policy to improve care and increase access to mental health care.
Mr. Oladipo migrated from Nigeria in 2009 with a BSc in Microbiology and began his nursing career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) working in the long-term care environment with Dementia and elderly patients. In 2011, he earned his Practical Nurse Licensure, (LPN), and in 2016 he graduated from Raritan Valley Community College with an Associate Degree (ASN) in Nursing. He went on to earn his BSN in 2019 from Thomas Edison State University and became a board-certified psychiatric and mental health register nurse (PMHRN-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Mr. Oladipo became employed by the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital as a clinical nurse working in orthopedics, oncology, and Telemetry. He frequently floated to the eating disorder, emergency department , and adult psychiatric units. He continued to follow his passion and later joined the Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center (Princeton House), providing care for psychiatric mental health patients across the lifespan. In 2019, he joined Hackensack Meridian Health at Carrier Clinic and continues to work on the dual diagnosis unit, the older adult unit, the children/adolescent’s unit, and the recovery units with clients struggling with substance use disorder and addiction.
He is an active member of the American Nurses Association (ANA), and the New Jersey State Nurses Association, (NJSNA).
