Betty Frimpong-Mansoh

RN , Masters (Current)

Betty Frimpong-Mansoh, RN, is an eight-year critical care nurse and current Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) student at New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing. She has clinical experience spanning psychiatric, cardiac, neuro, surgical, medical ICU, PACU, and stepdown units across Montefiore Moses Hospital, NYU Langone Health, Lancaster General Hospital, and Northwell Health. In her graduate training, she is continuing to refine her skills in psychiatric assessment, crisis stabilization, and trauma-informed care, with a growing focus on mental health access for communities with unmet needs.

Prior to beginning her PMHNP training, Frimpong-Mansoh provided specialized care for critically ill patients requiring advanced cardiac support devices, ventilatory management, neurological monitoring, and complex post-operative recovery. Her background also includes inpatient psychiatric nursing, where she cared for individuals experiencing acute mood disorders, psychosis, and behavioral crises, and collaborated closely with interdisciplinary teams to support stabilization, discharge planning, and long-term recovery.

Across all roles, she has cultivated expertise in patient advocacy, health education, culturally responsive care, and evidence-based clinical practice. Frimpong-Mansoh’s professional mission is rooted in advancing mental health inclusivity. She hopes to integrate her critical care foundation, psychiatric training, and commitment to inclusion to become a clinician-leader who expands access to compassionate, affirming, and high-quality mental health services for vulnerable communities worldwide.
